deleting people on MSN

Is it possible for someone to stop you from deleting them as a contact on MSN? I decided to clean out my contact list by blocking and then deleting names of people I never or rarely talk to. I was able to do this successfully except for one person. I blocked him, but every time I tried to delete him, I got a message saying Windows could not delete that name and that I should try again later. I tried unblocking the name but still could not delete. So is there some kind of command he did to keep me from deleting him? And if so, is there anything I can do?

As long as you block someone they can't see you online or contact you.

As for the command. Never heard of it. However I googled plug ins for MSN Messenger. There are plug ins that will tell the user who blocked them. But I'm unsure that they can do such a thing by contacting you as you have this person defined as blocked.

Furthermore, if people only went on their people who added them list (Options>Preview, click on View) and it'll show them who added them and who deleted them they should get the hint. But most don't. If it continues, kindly contact the person and state that you no longer have time to talk and that you deleted the person and ask they do the same. 9 out of 10 they'll follow your lead but there are others who just sit there, roll their eyes and call your bluff.

I did let this person know I was planning to delete him and explained my reasons. So I think he must have done something to block me from being able to delte him.

hello yeah i've had the same thing happen as cat_lover. You can block the people but when it comes to removing them, it tells me to try later and boots me off msn. I've also found out that they can still see you online because a contact tried to talk to me even though they were blocked. I've got other friends who have been having the same problem

That's happened to me too. I'm sorry I've no helpfull hints for correcting it.

It's a frigging bug in MSN or something 'cause I've had it happen to me more than once. Anyone have any idea as to what might be causing it?
